In the Name of God, Amen.
I, John Ford of the County and Parish of Fluvanna being of per-
fect mind and memory do make and ordain this my last Will and
Testament in manner and form following Viz: Item I give and
bequeath unto my Son Bartlett Ford, one Bay Horse and one Cow
and four Sheep. Item I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Ann
five pounds to be paid out of my Debts also two Hogs. Item my desire
is that my land on Carrell's Creek in Albemarle County may be sold
and the money equally divided between the Children of my two -
Daughters Ann Rosse and Sarah Nowlands. Item I give and bequeath
unto my Daughter Mary Harlow one Shilling Sterling ~~~~~~~
Item my Will and desire is that all the rest of my Estate real and
personal as well as all debts due to me, may be equally divided
between my two Sons Tandy Ford and Bartlett Ford, to them
and their Heirs forever. My desire is that my Estate may not be
appraised ~~ And lastly I appoint my two Sons Tandy Ford
and Bartlett Ford, my Executors to this my last Will and Testa-
ment Revoking all and every other Will or Wills by me hereto
fore made. In Witness whereof have hereunto set my hand and
affixed my Seal this Twelf day of may in the Year of our Lord
one thousand seven hundred and eighty three.

At a Court held for Fluvanna County the seventh day of
August 1783. This writing was this day presented in Court
and proved to the the last Will and Testament of John Ford,
Deceased, by the oath of John Ford and Roger Thompson Gent.
two of the Witnesses thereto, and admitted to record. And on
the motion of Tandy Ford and Bartlett Ford Executors therein
named, and they making oath thereto as the Law directs, and
performing which is usual in such Cases. Certificate is granted
them for obtaining a probate thereof in due form
