MRS. NEWTON RODMAN

Mrs. Edna Sinex Rodman, wife of Newton Rodman died
of heart trouble Friday night at their home near South
Boston. Mrs. Rodman had been ailing for some time but
was well as usual Friday. She was 60 years of age and
leaves surviving: her husband, two children, Mrs. Charles
Thompson of Pekin, and Elisha Rodman of Mazon, Ill.
Another son Lee Rodman preceded her to the grave, leaving
a son Warren Rodman who with his widowed mother has
spent the winter in Salem. Other near relatives are her two
brothers, Elisha Sinex of Mineral Point, Wisconsin, Thomas
Sinex of Puyallup, Washington, and one sister Mrs.
Maria Walker of Bremerton, Washington. A number of more
distant kin and a host of friends mourn her departure. The
funeral was held at the home Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock
attended by a large concourse of people. The services was in
charge of Rev. Holmes of Louisville, who was assisted by
Rev. B. F. Taylor. Burial was at the old Rodman cemetery.
Among those attending the funeral from Salem was W. L. Taylor
and family, Mrs. Taylor being a cousin of the deceased.
