Requiem High Mass for C. Elmer (Pete) White, 56, of 1969 E. Clay St., will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick Church with burial in Graceland Cemetery.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. Monday at J. J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home where a rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday by members of the St. Vin- cent De Paul Society.

Contributions may be made to the Macon County Cancer Fund.

Mr. White died at 1:20 a.m. Friday in St. Mary's Hospital where he had been a patient since June 17.

He was born in Decatur on Sept. 30, 1909. He was employed at Decatur Pump Co. for 31 years as a machinist and foreman.

He also operated the White Insurance Agency, which will be closed until July 6.

He was a frequent contribu- tor to the Letters to the Editor in the Herald and Review as CEW.

He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, past president of the St.Patrick Parish Club and past president of the American Society of Tool Engineers.

He married Myrtle J. Schrad- er on June 30, 1909, in Decatur.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Larry E., at home, three sisters, Mrs. William (Bernice) Laffan of Miami, Mrs. C. E. (Dorothy) Brown and Mrs. E. J. (Betty) Mulligan, both of De- catur, and his mother, Mrs. Min- nie White, Decatur.
