RECORD OF WILLS, EXECUTORS' BONDS,

 "Will of William S. Walker, Sen."

I, William S. Walker, Sen. of Franklin Township, Wash-
ington County, Indiana, do make and publish this 
my last Will and Testament

I give and devise to my beloved wife, Louisa
Walker, all of my property, both real and personal,
consisting of household goods, stocks, furniture,
provisions  and all other goods and chattels,
moneys, credits and all my real estate which I
may have at the time of my decease, during her
natural life.

I further declare that at the death of the said
Louisa Walker, my wife, that all of my property
shall be sold, except my household and kitchen
furniture which I give and devise to my 
daughter Nancy E. Walker.

I further declare that after all of my just debts
have been paid I give and devise to the said 
Nancy E. Walker Five Hundred dollars the 
balance to be divided equally between the rest of
my children , namely, Mary J. Brim, Thomas B.
Walker, Sally A. Smith, James Walker, Elizabeth
Williams, William S. Walker, Jun., Martha Meadors,
Lucinda B. Elrod, and Benjamin F. Walker.

I do hereby nominate and appoint Eli Elrod
Executor of this my last will and testament hereby
authorizing and empowering him to compromise
and adjust, release and discharge in such manner
as he may deem proper the debts and claims due me, To
sell at private sale or in such manner as he may think
proper all of my real estate and deed to purchaser to execute
acknowle_  and deliver in fee simple.   I do hereby
revoke all former wills made by me.

In testamony whereof I have hereunto set my hand 
and seal this the 26th day of July, A. D., 1890,

presence and signed by us in his presence.

"Proof of Will."


State of Indiana, 
Washington County, S.S.

 Be it remembered, That on the 15th day of
December, 1898, John W. Batty one of the subscribing
witnesses to the within and foregoing last Will and
Testament of William S. Walker, late of said County,
deceased, personally appeared before Samuel A. Roberts, 
Clerk of the Circuit Court of Washington County, in the
State of Indiana, and being duly sworn by the Clerk
of said Court, upon his oath declared and testified as
follows, that is to say:  That on the 26th day of July, 
1890, he saw the said William S. Walker sign his name to
said instrument in writing as and for his last will
and testament, and that this deponent at the same 
time heard the said William S. Walker declare the
said instrument in writing to he his last will and 
testament and that the said instrument in writing
was at the same time at the request of the said
William S. Walker and with his consent attested and
subscribed  by the said deponent and L. D. Townsend 
in the presence of said testator, and in the presence 
of each other as subscribing witnesses thereto, and
that the said William S. Walker was at the time 
of the signing and subscribing of said instrument 
in writing as aforesaid, of full age (that is, more
than twenty-one years of age), and of sound and
disposing mind and memory, and not under any
coercion or restraint, as the said deponent verily
believes, and further deponent says not.

W. Batty before me, Samuel A. Roberts, Clerk of 
said Court, at Salem, the 15th day of December
1898.

RECORD OF WILLS, EXECUTORS' BONDS,

I, Samuel A. Roberts, Clerk of the Circuit Court of
Washington County, Indiana, do hereby certify
that the within annexed will and testament of 
William S. Walker has been duly admitted to probate
and duly proved by the testimony of John W. Batty, one
of the subscribing witnesses thereto, that a complete
record of said Will, and of the testimony of the said John W.
Batty in proof thereof has been by me duly made and
recorded in Book G at page #316 of the "Records of Wills" of
said County.


In attestation whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my 
name, and affixed the seal of said Court at Salem,
this 15th day of December, 1898.

 "Executors Bond and Oath."
Know all Men, That we, Eli Elrod, Eli W. Menaugh 
and William Rudderare bound unto the State of Indiana, 
in the penal sum of Two Thousand dollars, for the 
payment of which we Jointly and severally bind 
ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators.
Sealed and dated this, the 19th day of December, 1898, 
The Condition of the above Obligation is, That if the above
bound Eli Elrod shall faithfully discharge the duties of
his trust as Executor of the last Will of William S.
Walker, Sr. deceased, according to law, then the above
obligation is void, else to remain in full force.

Before me, Samuel A. Roberts, Clerk of the Circuit
Court in and for said county, this 19th day of December
1898, Eli Elrod, Eli W. Menaugh acknowledged the 
execution of the annexed Bond.

 of  December 1898.
