This Indenture made and entered into this 11th day of April 1837, by
and between William Denton of the first part, and James Denton of the
second part.
Witness: That the said part of the first part for and in consideration
of the natural love and affection which he bear unto the said James
Denton, his eldest son, and also for and in consideration of his part
of the land until the rest of the ears is made equal to him, to have
given, granted, [aliened], enscoffed and confirmed unto the said James
Denton, his heirs and assigns, all that track or parcel of graound it
being
The North half of the East half of the south West quarter of Section
No. 28 in township No. 19, North of Range No. 6 West of the third
Principal Meridian, containing forty acres.
To Have and to Hold the above described lot or parcel of ground,
together with all and singular the privileges or appurtenances thereunto
belonging, or in anywise appertaining, to his use, the said party of the
second part, his heirs and assigns, to act for their own proper use,
behoof and benefit forever.

Sangamon County } Be it remembered that on the date hereof came
before the undersigned a Justice of the Peace in and for said County
William Denton who was personally known by said Justice to be the
individual whose name are subscribed to the foregoing Deed of
Conveyance and severally acknowledge his voluntary execution of
the same for the purpose therein expressed.
